Samsung pay canada?

I had an s7 edge that I received in April (w8 BMC model) that came with Samsung pay pre installed. that phone went missing and I received a replacement unit, and the new phone doesn't have Samsung pay pre installed. when is it coming to Canada, and can anyone explain why my first s7 had it?

they did say some time in 2016 so if we are lucky maybe before Xmas. I have had my s7 edge since the day they were released and it has never had Samsung pay on it makes sense seeing it not in Canada yet...you can't even download it in Canada either

It's lame eh? Ads make it seem like it's everywhere but it's not that darn fine print at the bottom of ads!

I don't think we can use Samsung pay in Canada now. it may come the end of 2016

sooner would be better. We have excellent banking infrastructure, but apparently low uptake on alternate payment methods. most people I know wonder why I'd want to pay with my phone when I could just tap my card. Tap isn't widely available in the US, so this is a bigger advantage for them.
Still, it would be nice to get word from Samsung about a timeline!
