Forgot backup password

I make backups to a USB stick every month . I have accidentally wiped my contact list and need to restore but I cannot remember the password.

 I didn't even know password was enabled - is there any way to restore the backup? Please help!

Hi @drquark, are the contacts still in your recycle bin?

Contacts app > ☰ > Recycle Bin
