While there is already Edge Lightning that does put a "ring" around the cutout, it is only limited to certain apps and only visible for a short amount of time. There are third party apps that allows this but found them to be battery draining or ask for too many permissions to get it to work. With the removal of the LED notification light, why not implement it exactly how a LED notification light should work around the cutout? Make it pulse, blink, cycle through the notifications, etc, for the duration it takes to see the notification (we should be able to see it at a quick glance in case we aren't paying too close attention to the phone for more than 10+ mins). If this does happen, make it the Samsung way and allow for it to be customizable (Goodlock could be used?), like what kind of effect it shows (pulsing, blinking, etc) and perhaps even what color corresponds to what app. This would make a great addition and would be nice to have a proper LED notification back!
yes please!! Coming from an S9 it's been a struggle to deal with no LED. I work as a cook and I'd love to see if I have a notification and what kind without having to touch my phone.
