Whenever a new notification comes in, whether it's from WhatsApp, Facebook, or anything else, it minimizes the keyboard if you happen to be using it at the time. I'm sure this is a beta glitch that will be ironed out, but just putting it out there in case Samsung isn't aware or if any other users have noticed the same issue!
Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.
