Please give us more option to remap the Bixby button to do commands that don't have to go through Bixby. I get that Samsung wants to push their assistant on us but for the people who don't use it, that button seems wasted. And most of the times users have to download a third party app to get access to more features and customization outside of Bixby because their either isn't enough options in apps or the command list is too limited. Just let us natively remap Bixby to do a wider range of commands outside of Bixby commands. Like turning on DND, turning on a setting in the quick panel, and even letting us select Google Assistant. Like actual Google Assistant and not the Google Search app.
You shouldn't need to use a third party app that can stop working at any time to remap the Bixby button. On a Xiaomi phone it takes less than 10 seconds to remap the Xiaomi Assistant Button to Google or Alexa and the option is in the settings.
psssttt... Tasker App Factory 😉 create a task that launches the app you want if not supported and export it with the Tasker App Factory as an app, then select the app as the app used with a single press of the bixby button. This is what I used to enable assistant
