Here I am, listening to music and cleaning. I get like 10 notifications during the time and read them which opens the respective apps. Now, let's say I want to close all of those with one button, but still leave Spotify or my TV remote app open... There's the problem. We still can't lock apps, so Spotify will end up closing with the close all apps button. It's strange we can "force close" apps, but have no way to "force it to stay open." I've had this feature on past Android devices and I'm pretty sure a Samsung. It would be great if you guys brought that back.

Nvm, I found it. It's a long press on the app icon on the task manager... any chance you could move that option above the app and not inside the icon?

Uhm, go into the Task Manager and click on the app's icon itself. The option your looking for will pop up on the bottom of the screen, "Lock app."
