Hello boktokki,

Thank you for reaching out to us in order to find out what's the issue and meaning of status result of your Samsung Galaxy device battery after running the self-diagnostics tools under Samsung Members app.

Samsung Galaxy is designed to perform best at 0° ~ 35°C. Continuous use or charging in extreme temperatures may accelerate battery deterioration. Temporary exposure to extreme temperatures will activate the device’s safeguards to minimize damage, and charging will be limited to protect the battery from overheating.

Following are some basic steps to troubleshoot and identify what's behind the reason your device has a bad battery status.

A) Ensure that your device is up-to-date with the latest Software updates.
Settings > About Phone > Software updates > Download and install > Follow on-screen notifications/messages.

B) Minimize battery deterioration with proper charging. If it's been a while since your last use, try fully charging your battery before use.

C) Battery deterioration may accelerate, if a device is left with a depleted battery for a long period of time. Here’s what you can do to preserve the battery’s condition when not in use.

1) Turn off the device and charge with an authentic Samsung charger to prevent depletion.
2) Charge the device to approximately 50 ~ 70% for long-term storage.
3) Charge the device once every 3 ~ 6 months.
4) Store in cool, non-humid environments to preserve battery performance.

D) Retry running the Diagnostic Tools under Samsung Members app.

1. Run Samsung Members and select Get help on the lower half of the screen.

2. Tap View Tests located under Diagnostics.

3. Diagnostics checks, Individually Tap the following;

     Battery status

4. Your Galaxy phone will then run through the checks.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the check.

6. You can view your results after each check is complete.

E) If the results, remain the same as, :the battery should be replaced because it's old and or in bad condition".  Then, bring your Samsung Galaxy device immediately to Samsung Authorized Service Center near you.

Hope you find this content is helpful and your problem gets solved.
