Yeah, they were present in Betas, but removed in the official release. It's sad that Samsung fails to support the latest standards, they also promised LC3 support for Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, but they never delivered.

Unacceptable. Tell Sammy we must have LC3 and Bluetooth LE! It's part of Android. It's the future!

OneUI 6 (Android 14) already fully supports BLEA/LC3 (not sure about OPUS). The issue right now is headphones/buds software/firmware support and manufacturers allowing the functionality on only very specific combinations of devices.

Right now my Sony WF-1000XM5 buds are connected to my S23 Ultra via Blueatooth LE Audio and using the LC3 codec. But I had to use a modified version of the Sony Headphones app to be enable to enable the BLEA/LC3 functionality as officialy it is limited to Sony's Xperia phones only...

Any source for that modified version of the Headphone app?

Interesting, my Cleer Arc ii earbuds don't even they do on Pixel 8 Pro, but not on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running One UI 6.1!
