My one (1) year old A54 was charged to 80%, and taken of the charger when I went to bed.

I picked up the phone when I woke up at about 7am today and charge was about 70%. I used a little duolingo and YouTube, total just over 1 hours. Now it is 11.30, and my battery is at 23%.
How can my, 1 year old phone just last only a quarter of the day of use?
Checking the battery usage, Contacts Storage, a basic background process/app, took >10% of my battery charge. I don't even know if this is the main culprit.
Not the first time I had raised battery drain issues. Threes after getting my A54, the drain was crazy even when left idle. Hence I had switched off, disabled, uninstall nearly all the Samsung automation, and at least I could get through to the evening. Note it is only till evening, not night!
I resigned that my battery drain issues might be causes by network issues and the A Series will never be as good as the S Series. However reading around, the S series also suffers from unexplained battery drain.
I'm envious of my wife's realme XT (4.5 years old) can still function from morning till bed time on a charge. Sigh. It will be three more years before my planned phone change. If by then Samsung does little to nothing to restore my confidence, I'll not entertain any future Samsung devices.

I had been living with this nightmare of a phone. To get through the day, it is constantly under power saving mode. Kinda useless as I then do not get to enjoy the best of what I paid for to have on this phone. I look with envy as I buy new and cheaper phones from Honor and Xiaomi for my family and none have any issues.
For all who tried to help, a big thank you for trying. I am left then with the only option to hand the phone in to a Samsung to check. As a daily driver phone, I can't go without my phone for anything more than 2-3 days. My accounts and daily contact with customers are linked to the phone.
Samsung phones - this is the first and last time. I can't believe I bought into the reviews and the idea of long software updates. So I am now begrudgingly using this phone until it is at least 5 years old before I consider changing for another. And it will not be a Samsung.
