Focus Enhancer Gone

Anyone here experiencing the same with their Focus Enhancer? It's suddenly gone from my S23 Ultra device. I can still use it like 2 days ago.

Thanks for reaching out to us in order to find out from other members here if they have encountered similar experience of missing Focus Enhancer on their beloved Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I feel and understand why you are worried for a device that you've take care so much. If my device is facing similar experience, I will get worried too.

If you want to take a close up shot of a certain subject, all you need to do is step as close as 30 cm away from it. The Focus Enhancer will automatically switches from the wide-angle camera lens to the ultra-wide lens.  The Focus Enhancer feature in the Galaxy S23 Ultra delivers better colors and object textures than its predecessors.

Check the Focus Enhancer icon at the bottom left corner of the screen as you bring the camera closer to the subject. Experience high-quality close-ups.

 

Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps (Camera) are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4. Restart your phone.

 

Reset the camera app.

If your camera has missing feature, resetting the camera to its default settings may also be a solution. Follow the steps below to reset the camera app.

Step 1. Launch the Camera app, then tap the Settings icon at the top left corner.

Step 2. Swipe to and tap Reset settings.

Step 3. Tap the Reset button to confirm.

 

Clear the cache of Camera app.

Step 1. Go to settings, then tap Apps.

Step 2. Select the Camera app that you want to clear for.

Step 3. Tap Storage.

Step 4. Tap Clear cache.

 

 

Boot a Samsung device into Safe Mode:
 

Step 1. Turn the device off by holding the Power button until the option to Power Off appears on the screen. Tap Power off.

Step 2. Press and hold the Power and the Volume Down buttons at the same time, to turn the device on. When you see the Samsung logo appear on the screen, you can let go of the Power button while the device boots up. Make sure to keep holding the Volume Down button.

Step 3. If done correctly, 'Safe Mode' will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If 'Safe Mode' does not appear, repeat the steps above.

Step 4. Once you're in Safe Mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues on your phone.

 

Exit Safe Mode

To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone and it will reboot normally. You can also enter Safe Mode by pressing the Power key, touching and holding the Power off icon, and then touching the Safe Mode icon.

If that doesn't solve the issue, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:

 

Step 1. Launch the Samsung Members app, and then tap the Support icon for more options.

Step 2. Scroll and select Error reports.

Step 3. Choose a category of your concern. Select "Camera".

Step 4. Choose the frequency of the issue you are experiencing. Enter issue details or attach a video or screenshot. Then press Send icons to complete the report.
