I just recently got a new phone (the new model is a galaxy a15). My old phone had a feature on the gallery app where when you click on an image it shows your other images underneath it so you can click between them easily. Apparently it is called "filmstrip". My new phone does not have this feature, which means i have to swipe to go between photos. I have chronic headaches, and the blur caused when i swipe between photos triggers/worsens my headaches. I take a lot of photos and use the gallery frequently so this is causing a lot of stress. I also am leaving for a trip in a few days (all the way out of the country!) and would like to take photos, but need to clear up photo space to do so. i am struggling with this because of the previously mentioned issue, which is upsetting. I've spent a few hours already over these last few days trying to fix it, and I found that you can toggle it on and off with the "gallery labs" menu. But when I turn it on, it does not work. I've tried restarting my phone and force stopping and restarting the app - both multiple times- but still nothing works. It dosent seem like other features on the gallery labs menu are working for me either (or at least, dynamic spacing wouldn't turn on, and that one I can recognize if it works or not). Could you help me please? What do I do to get filmstrip working again for me?

Hi, I ran into the same problem on the A15. Did all the research on the internet and in the Samsung forums. All Android/OneUI/Gallery app versions are up-to-date. Did clear cache/data from the app, did hard-shutdown of the app, several phone restars. We have three other Samsung phones S23, S24 and A40 which all have the feature enabled and working. Compared all the settings. We tried Gallery Lab and were able to activate/deactivate it on the other three phones. Only on A15 it was impossible. Had a chat with Samsung support, which had no solution. They were recommending a remote technician looking at the case. He didn't know about Gallery Lab and how to activate it (so much for the quality/knowledge of the support) but then said: Well, you can't have "filmstrip viewer", because the A15 is a low-price starters phone and the feature has been stripped from the UI.

@Samsung: Is this really true? I mean having this basic feature stripped from the UI. Why would you do that?

@all the others in this thread, have you had success in getting any help from Samsung or a solution or a statement in the same way as above? (Feature stripped from A15)?

Thanks everyone and thanks Samsung for a definitive statement on the Issue.

no that wouldn't be the case since the filmstrip in the video app works.
