My lockscreen's glitching

Can anyone help me for this? I already rebooted my phone and disabled biometrics. When I tried changing my lock screen method to swipe, the lockscreen just gets removed instantly. Please help

I recommend trying turning on safe mode and checking it. What it does is disable all 3rd party apps. If the issue still persists then it could really be the device. Otherwise, if it doesn't happen while on safe mode, then try checking the apps you have installed.

It worked. Although I need to brute forcefully remove multiple apps to identify which is which. But it works. Thanks

That's amazing! I agree it can be troublesome as it is hit and miss. Hopefully, in the future, they'd be able to automatically identify which is which. Nevertheless I'm glad to know it worked. 🥰

Hello mnémosync,

Thanks for letting us know here your experience with your beloved Samsung Galaxy phone having issues with the lock screen getting removed instantly when you tried changing the lock screen method to swipe. I feel and understand why you are worried for a device that you've take care so much. If my device is facing similar experience, I will get worried too.

Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.

 

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

 

Clear Cache Partition.
 
Step 1. Turn off your phone.
 
Step 2. Plug in the USB cable via PC or Type-C earphones (in case its USB-C to USB-C).
 
Step 3. Then press and hold Power and Volume up buttons.
 
Step 4. Release the power button. When the recovery screen shows up, release the volume up button.
 
Step 5. Navigate to and select Wipe cache partition (Volume up and down is for highlighting options and power is to select).
 
Step 6. Navigate to and select Yes.
 
Step 7. Press the power button to select Reboot system now.
 
If that doesn't solve the issue, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:

 

Step 1. Launch the Samsung Members app, and then tap the Support icon for more options.

Step 2. Scroll and select Error reports.

Step 3. Choose a category of your concern. Select "Settings/System".

Step 4. Choose the frequency of the issue you are experiencing. Enter issue details or attach a video or screenshot. Then press Send icons to complete the report.
