we have two note 10+ units here in the house (my mom's and mine).... sadly, air actions do not work on both of them but all other s-pen functionalities and features are working just fine, at least i suppose (not really sure coz we don't use them anymore)....
i first learned about it february 2022 when i had to use the note 10+ again after i sent my galaxy z fold3 to an aurhorized service center as dead pixels started appearing on its main screen. at first, i tried swapping s-pens with my mom but her's also doesn't seem to work... i then searched for other solutions on the internet and performed them one after another, yet the problem still remained unresolved... i then consulted a samsung technical specialist via phonecall and asked her about the s-pen issue.....the ending???? i was told that if i want to have air actions working again , i need to buy a new s-pen....
before that inquiry, i've always felt that samsung might have effed up with the last OTA update i installed on both phones. that caused the s-pen to stop working either by damaging its battery, bluetooth connectivity or both..... after our conversation, i was more convinced that indeed, something of that sort happened..... it happened with the fold 3 update which damaged the screen, the same could have happened with the note 10+ update.. my mom and i have very different phone usage patterns: my phone had seen the toughest of days, my mom's had a very calm walk in the garden..... i am a heavy s-pen user, her s-pen rarely got out of its slot, there's a very small chance for our phones to have the exact same problem unless it resulted from something which the two phones always share in common, OTA updates which i always install consecutively on the two phones.....
anyways,i did not buy a replacement s-pen for either our note 10+ units, t bought the s-pen fold edition that i can and will use on my fold 3, instead..... i still keep and use that s-pen on my fold 5 and i look forward to using it on a fold7 soon....
