Samsung/Android OS resamples all audio, preventing true lossless playback even when using high-quality wired or USB-C DACs. Previously, some apps offered the option to bypass the built-in resampling and output directly to external DACs, allowing bit-perfect high-resolution audio. The current behavior reduces audio fidelity and removes user control, so it would be valuable for Samsung to restore a per-app toggle or system option to bypass the internal resampler and enable genuine high-res audio output.
Let's please get some attention on this. Samsung has the opportunity to be the first to implement this change (bring back the option) for Android. This affects users of paid music streaming services which provide lossless options e.g. Tidal, Apple Music and Spotify etc...
