Since the One UI 3 update, apps out of the blue don't launch properly. The launch animation begins when tapped from the home screen but stop after expanding. You'd think the app didn't open but upon checking all running apps, it is indeed there. This also causes split screen feature not to work properly.
If this means your tablet is on Android 11, the issue isn't one UI. There have been many reports that users using Android 11 even with Android one phones are getting random reboots and crashes.
