External Hard Drive

Hi, I have a Samsung External Hard Drive model no: MZ-75E1T0. For some reason, after 3 minutes of non-use it disconencts and I have to take out of USB port and then put it back. It destroys ant filesI have open and go to SAVE. Any advice p;lease on how to switch this off?

Hi, please try to disconnect your external hard drive from the first port, and try using different USB ports and different cable. Also, please open Samsung Magician software and open Drive details, then check the drive health and check S.M.A.R.T. to inspect your SSD and detect possible drive Failure.

I think it's normal. if it's non-use for 3 minutes, your screen time-out is probably starting.. BUT, I'd like to reproduce your problem,
Can you tell me what is the use of the hard drive for ?
Also, I don't know if it can help but I found this settings in developer's options, not sure 🤔what it does
