Good evening, I would like to know if it is possible to connect my Samsung Galaxy tab A8 to my television. If so how?  Thank you

Yes, but you need a tool. USB-C to HDMI adapter. Plug USB-C to your Tab A8 and HDMI to your TV. Make sure your TV also support HDMI input.

Actually, there are 2 more options:

- Buy a Chromecast, use google with chromecast

- If you are using Samsung Smart TV , I think you can do screen mirroring too.

Hold on a second: Not all tablets come with USB 3, especially the A series. Some still have MicroUSB without MHL (this includes all Tab A 8.0 models)! So wired won't work.

But as Tallman said, there's screen mirroring if your TV supports it.

Yeah...it depends on the Tab connection. I thought Tab A8 is USB-C, but it is MicroUSB. So JPaq, you need to make sure your Tab A8 connection type first.

Even then, USB-C is only a port. It's not a communication standard. Flagships come with USB 3.1, but otherwise the vast majority of midrange phones come with USB-C 2.0 incapable of outputting video

You explained the exact core of the problem. Thanks. A8 having usb-c 2.0 will not give hdmi or any video output, so, type-c to hdmi adapter , of any brand or manufacturer , will not work for hdmi output from tab A8

These type-c to hdmi adapters work only with type-c 3.0,3.1 & 3.2 ports of pricey flagship models.
