Step 1: go to quick panel > Smart View > long tap icon or tap on the Smart View text
Step 2: Go to Settings
Step 3: Tap on About Smart View
Step 4: Tap 10 times on the Smart View text
Step 5: You will see this new section. Tap on Start Second Screen
Step 6: You will now see this section like on latest Galaxy Tab series.
Click on the device and start casting!
Basically, you can use your Galaxy tablet/phone as a second screen for your Windows PC if it's natively not supported. For example, Galaxy Tab S7 FE and above are able to use the Second Screen natively via quick panel toggle. But prior Galaxy Tab aren't able to do that natively but you can do it anyway with this simple trick.
For this test, I am using my good buddy Galaxy Tab A7 10.1" 2020, running Android 12 OneUI 4.1 .

Follow the steps!
After these steps, go to your windows PC, hit Windows key + K (🪟+K) and then you will see this popup on quick settings panel.
Due to security policy, I wasn't able to screenshot the tablet cast screen but as you can see it is connected to my Galaxy Tab A7 2020, however it caps at 30Hz.
This is good enough if you're not too bothered with third party apps like spacedesk.
I'm not sure if this works with Galaxy phones but it's worth to check out.
