I'm on my own secure private network. I turned "Auto protect Wi-Fi" to On, and set it to "Public Wi-Fi protection only".  I thought the next time I connect to a public network, Secure Wi-Fi would start protecting me automatically. The next day, I went into Protection Activity, and noticed that Secure Wi-Fi had been on the whole time, even though I'm on a private (not public) network.

Hi Shane,

Could you please let us know what is the model number of your device?

If you've set Secure Wi-Fi to "Auto protect Wi-Fi > Public Wi-Fi protection only," it should not activate while connected to a secure private network. If you're seeing Secure Wi-Fi enabled on your home connection, it may be due to a misclassification or a software issue.

Here are a few things you can try:

Check your network classification: Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Your Network > Gear Icon, and verify whether it's being treated as a public network.

Reset Secure Wi-Fi settings: Navigate to Settings > Apps > Show system apps > Secure Wi-Fi > Storage, then Clear Cache and Data. Reopen the app and reconfigure your preferences.

Manual Control: As a workaround, you may want to disable Auto Protect and enable Secure Wi-Fi manually when using public networks, until a future update resolves the behavior.

If the issue persists, we recommend submitting an error report via Samsung Members > Support > Error Reports > Network > Secure Wi-Fi, so the development team can investigate.

Thank you.

Hi Teryd,

Could you please let us know which calendar app are you using on both devices? Are both devices signed in with the same account?
