I bought a Tab A9+ a few months ago and the internet connection has been absolutely terrible. The Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting and it basically makes the tablet unusable. This is an issue with the device because all of my other devices work fine. I am not the only person with this issue, I have found many people online with the same problem, but I could not find a clear solution. Please let me know if you know how to fix this.

Hi KikiKaka,

We understand how frustrating persistent Wi-Fi disconnection issues can be, and we appreciate your detailed feedback. We will try with few trouble shooting steps to fix the issue

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network

    • Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.

    • Tap your network and select Forget.

    • Reconnect by entering your password again.

  2. Disable Wi-Fi Power Saving Mode

    • Navigate to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Advanced.

    • Turn off Wi-Fi Power Saving Mode if available.

  3. Reset Network Settings

    • Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

    • This will remove all saved Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and VPN settings.

  4. Update Software

    • Ensure your tablet is running the latest firmware via Settings > Software Update.

    • Some users have reported improvements after recent updates.

  5. Change Router Settings

    • Try switching your router’s frequency band from 5GHz to 2.4GHz or vice versa.

    • Disable MAC address filtering or QoS settings temporarily to test connectivity

I tried everything, and I am connected to 2.4ghz wifi, but it still disconnects sometimes. Sometimes it fully disconnects from the wifi, and sometimes it says "Connected without Internet".

Sorry to hear that, as you have already attempted all suggested steps and are still experiencing the issue frequently, we recommend connecting another device (such as a smartphone) to the same Wi-Fi network. This will help determine whether the problem is related to the network itself or specific to your device.

The Tab A9+ is my only device that does this. And I have many devices. Even my A15 which is cheaper doesn't have this problem. My S24, obviously, does not have this issue either.

Mine did the same thing last week (Gremlins). I got it up and running on the tablet. Thank you, Samsung Members ❤
