TabletsMy Samsung tablet got locked out 2-3 months ago after an overnite update. Password stopped working in the morning. Tried my only password (never changed it never had more than 1) enough times that it locked the tablet permanently. Can't unlock remotely with Find my samsung cause this is my first device and I had no idea a setting needs to be turned on in the tablet. And now cause I've left the house with it so many times, it's disconnected from my wifi (which was eventually gonna happen anyway). Samsung told me to go to three service centres. None can get past the perma-lock screen. I can only reboot it by holding the power and volume down key, but won't enter recovery mode by holding volume up and power key. Plugging into a power source or PC or Mac hasn't helped either. I have a 1300$ tablet that was locked by the company who made it and I can't use it for work. Samsung says go somewhere else, other places say go to Samsung. How can this be reconciled? I am out of options other than paying to ship it "another" service centre. What can you do for me Samsung?

TabletsNow Samsung tells me I have to pay to ship it both ways and pay to reset it ($55CDN + tax). Not a big price but months of not being able to use and and endless time spent trying to fix this. I feel like I'm owed a whole lot more than having to pay money to get this fixed. Quite ludicrous Samsung. Was going to switch to having a Samsung phone in the future but not after this. Yeesh.

TabletsUpdate, the company Samsung made me send my tablet to is not able to unlock the device either... so I paid for it for nothing. They are sending it back and telling me to contact Samsung again to get them to unlock it... so who knows how much more this is going to cost at this point. Maybe I can get some real assistance soon instead of every company relaying me back and forth between them (since no one seems to know what they are doing). Admin? Someone? Who can I talk to who can remedy this and make me stop wasting my money for a problem that is actually absurd and should have been an easy quick fix? Why is there a loophole where I can lock myself and every possible service company, including Samsung?, out of the tablet so it is completely not usable? C'mon.
