ThemesFun fact: Adults who regularly get 7–9 hours of sleep tend to have better focus, mood, and overall health. Good sleep really does make a difference!
Did you know you can monitor your sleep just by wearing your Galaxy Watch to bed? With Samsung Health sleep monitoring, your watch tracks what happens while you rest so you can better understand your nights and improve your days.
While you’re dreaming, Samsung Health can:
🌙 Track your sleep time and sleep stages
🌙 Record and review snoring
🌙 Give you sleep coaching tips to build better habits
🌙 Help you manage connected devices, so bedtime stays bedtime
The best part? You wake up to real insights about your night! No guessing, just smart tracking that helps you rest better over time.
We’ll be doing it too, so you’re in good company 😉
Drop a comment and tell us…
How many hours of sleep do you usually get on a typical night?

ThemesSome of the data from sleep, is incorrect.. ie: Time Awake is typically wrong.. if I was awake for an hour in the middle of the night, Samsung Health says I was awake for 30 minutes.. as for REM, when I KNOW that I was dreaming, sometimes Samsung Health shows 0 minutes of REM.

ThemesThanks for sharing your experience! 😊 Samsung Health estimates sleep stages like awake time and REM using movement and heart rate, so it can sometimes under- or overestimate periods. It’s not always perfect night-to-night, but it’s great for spotting overall trends over time.
If your sleep score seems off, here are a few things to check:
-
Power saving mode: If your watch is in power saving mode, it may only record limited sleep data.
-
Connection: Make sure your Galaxy Watch is connected to your phone via the Galaxy Wearable app. If it’s not, tap Connect.
-
Troubleshooting: If the watch won’t connect, try resetting and repairing it using the connection guide.
-
Refresh data: Once connected, open Samsung Health on your phone and pull down on the Home page to refresh.
-
Review sleep: Tap the Sleep widget to see the data that’s been captured.
-
Sleep target: A sleep score is only given if your sleep data is within your target. To set or adjust it, tap the three dots in the upper right of the Sleep menu → Set target.
-
Adjust times: Tap the times inside the clock circle to adjust your bedtime and wake time.
Following these steps can help make your sleep data and score more accurate!

I am in dental school and get about 7 to 8 hours. I've noticed that the watch + health app do a good job of assessing my sleep scores. When I feel tired, usually my sleep score is below 80
