Looking back to Unpacked 2022. Travel from Calgary to Montreal, then Montreal to NYC. Total took me almost 18 hours. 😑
I remembered the trip from Calgary to Montreal was ok. At Calgary airport about 4:30am in the morning because the flight was depart about 6am.
When I arrived Montreal airport. There was a long line up for the US immigration. Was stuck in the line over 2.5 hours. At last, few more people and was my turn. However, received an email said my Air Canada flight got cancelled. Oh no...😱 Then, I looked for a customer service and they escorted me back to Canada terminal. Then an Air Canada agent booked me another flight to Toronto. And need to change another flight from Toronto to NYC. Okay, no problem. I flew to Toronto, went through security and immigration. I thought everything should be fine. I was wrong. 😓 I received an email said my flight has the gate changed. It was about 5pm EST in Toronto. Alright, I went to the new gate and wait. After another 30 minutes, got another email said gate changed. This time, the gate was pretty far away 😫. About 7pm, got another email said the flight have another gate changed. This time need to go to another Terminal building. What the ***😡. That was crazy!! Finally, the airline found a flight crew and I was able to left Toronto airport at 9:45pm.
When I arrived NYC airport, the time was about 12am. Then got an Uber to hotel and arrived at 1am.
Basically, I missed the Orientation and Welcome dinner on 2022 Unpacked. I think this is crazy because I was in Calgary airport from 4am MDT til 12am EST arrived NYC airport. Almost 18 hours travel from Calgary to NYC. What a crazy moment for me!!
