Use Pro Mode and RAW when photographing intense red colors to gain control over exposure and color balance and to retain detail, as red can often lead to overexposure and loss of detail (red blowout) in the red color channel. RAW files provide unprocessed data, allowing you to adjust the white balance and colors in post-production without losing quality, while Pro Mode gives you manual control over settings like exposure, ISO, and shutter speed to prevent red blowout in the first place.
