Since going to the gym isn’t an option for everyone right now, we’ve put together a list of ways that you can get in a good workout with everyday items at home.

 Canned food as dumbbells

If you don’t have any dumbbells at home, don't worry! Canned food is a great alternative to lighter weights and can be used to get in a good upper body session that includes bicep curls, shoulder presses and dumbbell flys.

Kick your cardio up a notch with some stair climbing

If you are a cardio lover who is missing the stair master, why don’t you try walking or running up your stairs at home. Stair climbing is great for your cardiovascular endurance and can help to build muscle tone. You can track your progress and steps on the Galaxy Watch4.

Work your triceps with chair dips

Swap out a bench at the gym for a dining chair at home to get your triceps burning.

How to do chair dips -

Before starting this exercise, ensure that your chair is on a flat and stable surface for your own safety. Sit with your back facing the chair, then reach your arms back to place your hands on the corners of the chair and extend your legs. Bend at the elbows to lower yourself down and straighten your arms to bring yourself back up. Repeat this exercise as many times as desired.

Burn out your legs with wall sits

If you want to build strength in your legs, try using the wall at home. Stand with your back against the wall then squat down until your legs are at a 90 degree angle with your back pressed flat against the wall. You can try to build up endurance with this exercise by doing 3x sets of 30 second holds until that starts to feel easy. Once you have mastered that, hold this exercise for as long as you can until failure. Use the Galaxy Watch4 to measure your heart rate and to time your hold lengths so that you can keep track of your personal bests.

Use your bodyweight

If you don’t own any workout equipment, you can still get in a great workout solely using your own bodyweight. Incorporate some squats, jump squats, lunges, push ups, planks and burpees and you’ll be working up a sweat in no time.

Stay motivated with Samsung

Staying motivated to be active can be difficult without the help of a group setting, trainer or workout buddy. The Samsung Health App has plenty of workout videos to choose from if you need inspiration and allows you to track your daily steps, exercise, food, sleep and water so you can stay on top of your health. Track your fitness progress with the Watch4 and energise yourself during your workouts by playing your favourite music using the Galaxy Buds2.
