For all asking the question about the final build and why it's taking so long, especially on the unlock variant. I am very thankful that Samsung lets us be part of the beta program because I have always in the past had to go and find ways through the backdoor to get anything new. I say to those be thankful that you are running Android 10 and remember how much work has to go into something like this especially to the unlock variant that has to meet all frequencies for all carriers. I hear a lot of complaints however I for one have very few issues with the beta version. If you do not like it you can always revert back and opt out of the beta program. Be patient and that's coming from someone that's very impatient.

💯.
It is not that serious... it will come sooner or later. Besides, why would Samsung prioritize updating the FAR fewer unlocked devices vs carrier devices. Think logically, people.

☝️Well said. I agree completely.☝️

It's always been this way. Samsung direct unlocked phones get the -privilege- of participating in the beta of the latest Android version.

Similarly we -always- get the final release last. Several iron clad choices we have made. We choose to have the unlocked phones. We could have purchased from our carrier, we would not be able to participate in the Beta, but we would get the final release before those who did.

We choose to participate in the beta program with all that entails. We get to peak behind the curtain and see what will be offered to the masses. We also get to help Samsung debug their product. That's what a beta is.

We could just get our unlocked phones and not participate in the beta. We wouldn't get the final release any sooner.

This is the 4th Android beta I've participated in and this topic gets rehashed every time. Get over it. Buy the carrier version if you want the final release before unlocked phones. Don't participate in the beta of you are unwilling to put up with what that entails.

Samsung owes you nothing.

Totally agree with the timing of when we get the final version - not a problem.

Being a software developer, what does seem odd to me is the fact that they are pushing a final release that was never beta tested. I assume someone tested it?

That seems to me like making some fixes to the last beta and then pushing it to prod with no testing. Not complaining - just seems odd from a development life cycle standpoint.

atleast community managers should be more responsive and provide real answers to questions of people participating. their pre-typed response and same answer to every question just not ok. Been reporting that google pay isn't working but no response from the Samsung.

We won't see the final build until January, as we both the 9.0 and beta 10.0 builds are running the December security patches. That means no updates until after the New Year probably, since it wouldn't make sense to due multiple update rollout. They can instead do it all at once for everyone not with a carrier here in US.
