Have a QT65 bought new a couple of months ago. All set up and working well. Recently when I say ok google turn on Samsung TV (mini or phone) it would tell me that assistant wasn't set up or you will need to sign in. Checked tv assistant was setup logged in and could use it on the remote. So I reset the tv, went through the set up and got Google Assistant to turn on the TV...YEAH or so I thought, went to use the remote and it said I needed to set up Google Assistant. Dis all set up remote working but now back to square 1 when I say turn on Samsung TV I get the message that it is not set up when it is.

Any idea's, it's slightly frustrating.

had your exact issue ... please read on...

after hours of going in circles, resetting the TV, swapping networks, going thru every setting for assistant, re-pairing with smart things, all the steps....

THIS WORKED...

My Samsung UA43AU8000 tv kept saying "you need to complete setup", "you need to sign in", would give me a code, the code never worked on any device, always says "no devices found".

I FINALLY FIXED IT... i had to log into my google account on the TVs internal samsung browser, then press the MIC button on the remote, get the error again, press finish setup, get another code off the screen, then use the internal samsung browser again to go to the website provided and enter the code.

straight away it splashed up a different message on the code input screen, then sat there thinking for a minute or so (never did that to this point) then it said my device setup was successful.

pressed the MIC button with some hesitation, and she asked me what i wanted to do...

MIRACULOUSLY it now works.

Hi @ozboy01, that's strange. Are you able to remove Google Assistant entirely from the TV and set it up again following the steps below:

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/tv-audio-video/how-to-setup-google-home-on-a-samsung-tv/

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/tv-audio-video/google-home-voice-commands-for-samsung-tvs/

Let me know how you go with this.

Thank you for your reply. Not sure what you mean by "remove Google Assistant entirely" it's not an app so I can't uninstall, however I logged out and tried the above no difference. I then did (another reset) and reset up from scratch with everything and again no change. It is strange it used to work as it should up until about a month ago, then this. Thanks again for trying to assist I appreciate it.
