Backup Watch4 with Smart Switch

On occasion I get a notification on my phone saying my Watch4 cannot be backed up using Smart Switch and that I need to open up Smart Switch and allow it to back it up. I cannot find any information on how to get Smart Switch to back it up. My Wearable app says I do not have any backups for my watch and I cannot find anything around Smart Switch having any backups of it. Can the Watch4 be backuped anymore and if so how? I'm on One UI version 5.0 Wear OS Version 4.0 if that helps.

Thanks for reaching out. I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

I have been having this same issue (last successful backup on 10/7), but I'm using a Pixel 7 Pro, and the Samsung Members app is not compatible.

Samsung Members app is not compatible with my phone (Google Pixel 7 Pro), and it would do little good to install it on a tablet. There was a successful backup with my GalaxyWatch 4 connected to the Pixel about ten days after connecting the watch to that phone, but only errors (almost daily) since.

Update: Reinstalling Smart Switch took care of it. Had a successful backup overnight.
