WearablesIt could be the Bluetooth connection between the Buds & and the phone.
You could try Unpairing & Pair them again, or you could try Resetting the Network Settings.
Also check to see if there's any update for the Buds.
One of those should help.

WearablesSorry, I missed the last bit where you said that it only disconnects, if you're only using one Bud.. right?
It's possible that is by design.. on the Earbuds side?
In other words, The Earbuds may be waiting for the second Bud to get connected?

WearablesI think that most Earbuds are designed to work with BOTH connected.
If they don't disconnect when you are using both, that's your answer.

Yes, as adviced by RedDogRabbit, Resetting the Bluetooth connection or network settings can often resolve issues like this.
You can also try Restart your phone and the earbuds to clear temporary glitches.
Power off your phone and turn it back on. For the buds, place them in the charging case, close the lid, and wait for a few seconds before using them again.
