Hi, Its been past few weeks been facing thr automatic skips and pauses on YouTube and Spotify. I don't know the reason for the cause and still looking for a solution. If anyone has any leads please help me out. It is kind of frustrating and never had this kind of issues with another Samsung products before.

Thanks

I can tell you that if someone around you says pause, stop, play or next, the earbuds will react as if you said it

Hi Sachu,

Thanks for sharing your experience—it definitely sounds frustrating, especially since you've had a smooth run with other Samsung devices before. Let's try to get to the bottom of it.

Possible Causes of Automatic Skips and Pauses

These issues on YouTube and Spotify can stem from a few common sources:

1. Battery Optimization Settings

Samsung’s  battery management may be pausing background apps:

  • Go to SettingsBattery and device careBatteryBackground usage limits.

  • Disable Put unused apps to sleep.

  • Add YouTube and Spotify to the Never sleeping apps list.

2. App Permissions or Data Saver

  • Check SettingsApps → Select YouTube or SpotifyPermissions and Mobile data.

  • Ensure Allow background data usage is enabled.

3. Bluetooth or Headphone Interference

If you're using wireless earbuds or headphones:

  • Check for Bluetooth dropouts or auto-pause settings.

  • Try using the apps without headphones to see if the issue persists.

4. Gesture or Touch Sensitivity

Accidental touches or gestures might be triggering skips:

  • Disable Accidental touch protection under SettingsDisplay.

  • Try using the apps with a screen protector removed (if applicable).

We will proceed with a series of feasible troubleshooting steps to help address the issue effectively.

Here are the formal steps to wipe the system cache partition on your Samsung Galaxy device:

    1. Power off your device completely.

    2. Enter Recovery Mode

      • Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power (Side) button simultaneously.

      • Release both buttons when the Samsung logo appears and the device enters Recovery Mode.

    3. Navigate to “Wipe Cache Partition”

      • Use the Volume buttons to scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition.

      • Press the Power button to select it.

    4. Confirm the action

      • Use the Volume buttons to highlight Yes, then press the Power button to confirm.

    5. Reboot the device

      • Once the cache is wiped, select Reboot System Now and press the Power button.

This process clears temporary system files without affecting your personal data, apps, or settings. It’s a safe and effective way to resolve performance issues or app glitches.
Please try with the above steps and reach out to the community if the issue still persists.
