WearablesHello danesaints,
Thanks for letting us know here your experience while using your Samsung Galaxy Buds2 connecting to your beloved Samsung Galaxy phone having issues with the detection and non-appearance of pop-up window. I feel and understand why you are worried for a device that you've take care so much. If my device is facing similar experience, I will get worried too.
Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps (Galaxy wearable app) are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Pair with your device with a Samsung smartphone.
To connect your Galaxy Buds with your Samsung smartphone you must download the SmartThings app and the Wearable app, then follow these steps:
1. Put the Galaxy Buds in their case and close and reopen it.
2. Tap the “Connect” option from the pop-up window.
Now your Galaxy Buds are paired with your smartphone. Once your Galaxy Buds have been connected, they will automatically try and connect to your device every time you open the charging case while the earbuds are inside.
In case you experience connection issues with your Galaxy Buds+, please check all of the solutions outlined in detail below to resolve the issue. If the problem persists, you can visit the Samsung Service Center with your device to receive further assistance.
Check to see if you have fully charged your earbuds.
- It is recommended to fully charge the battery before using the earbuds for the first time or when they have been unused for extended periods. When you charge the battery for the first time or when the battery is completely discharged, minimum of 30 minutes is required to get it started.
- To charge the earbuds, insert them into the corresponding slots, and then connect the charger.
- The charging case, which has a built-in battery, is charged along with the earbuds that are in the charging case. The charging case may not close properly if you attach the wing tips or ear tips in the wrong direction.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:
Step 1. Launch the Samsung Members app, and then tap the Support icon for more options.
Step 2. Scroll and select Error reports.
Step 3. Choose a category of your concern. Select "Bluetooth".

Also: be sure wearable app is not in "deep sleep" and the battery usage is not restricted. The app might also need background data usage.
Make the changes one by one so you can identify which permission is really necessary. Then you can disable the rest.
