I find that the heart rate works just fine most times when I am barely moving (updates every 10 minutes like expected) but when I workout or walk (technically a workout) the heart rate monitoring just stops. When I check my phone after the workout, no heartrate is recorded. For instance I will workout from 11:00 till 12:00 and the last recorded heartrate will be at 10:50. I am confused as to why it won't do it consistently as I see the green light light up regularly, but nothing is recorded. Sometimes the same things happen with the step counter too.

Hi Jordiw,

We understand how important consistent monitoring is for workouts and daily activities. Below are some steps you can take to ensure optimal performance:

Please make sure the Galaxy Ring fits snugly on your finger. A secure fit ensures consistent contact with the sensors, which is essential for accurate tracking.

Dirt or sweat can interfere with the sensors. Clean the back of the ring gently with a soft cloth to ensure it’s free from debris.

Activate Continuous Tracking: Check the settings in the Galaxy Wearable app and ensure continuous heart rate monitoring is enabled under Heart Rate Settings. Open the Galaxy Wearable app > Tap Health settings. Tap Heart rate alert. Customize the high and low heart rate alerts.

Place the ring on its charger and restart it. This can help clear any temporary issues affecting sensor performance.

If you’re wearing other devices like a Galaxy Watch, ensure they’re not causing conflicts with the Galaxy Ring’s tracking.

Thank you.
