Troubleshooting Your Samsung Watch 7 Ultra's Text Message Issue

It's frustrating when your smartwatch doesn't receive text messages when you're away from your phone.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check Your Watch's Settings:

- Notifications: Ensure that notifications are enabled for your messaging app.

- Bluetooth Connection: Verify that your watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth.

- Cellular Connectivity: If you have an LTE version of the watch, make sure your cellular plan is active and set up correctly.

- Do Not Disturb Mode: Check if Do Not Disturb mode is activated on your watch.

2. Update Your Devices:

- Watch Firmware: Update your watch's firmware to the latest version.

- Phone Software: Ensure your phone's software is up-to-date.

3. Restart Your Devices:

- Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor glitches.

4. Check Your Carrier's Settings:

- Contact your carrier to ensure that your plan supports standalone messaging on your watch.

- There might be specific settings or configurations required on your carrier's end.

5. Reset Your Watch:

- As a last resort, you can try resetting your watch to factory settings. However, this will erase all your data, so be sure to back up important information.

Your phone doesn't need to be with you ,but must be switched on and have reception to receive text messages on you watch, this is just a carrier limitation.

Telstra have issues with their one number service, they completed corrupted mine when I went from apple watch to Samsung, they couldn't fix it so I left them and went to optus, had no issues with optus and since on Vodafone now , again no issues, telstra system is very old and buggy

I am with Optus. S23 Ultra. No messages on my Watch Ultra are possible. It says to connect via bluetooth.. so whats the point in me spending money or an LTE watch plan?

Ridiculous. My samsung watch 5 had no such issues.

Samsung, you need to fix, not give me silly advice like restarting my watch.

I have the exact same issue, was told by Samsung that the issue is not on their end and that they have no reports of anyone else having an issue
