I am a Emergency room RN, who wears the active2, and wanting to upgrade to the new upcoming Classic 4.  However my concern is the the heart rate reading image that Samsung shows on the watch is a " lethal cardiac rhythm" known as Ventricular Tachycardia"  It is not a normal sinus rhythm that shows on the screen when detecting your current heart rate.   Fitbit shows a normal sinus rhythm BTW.  This image drives the health professionals crazy. Not to mention I once  had a patient come into the emerg room, stating they looked up their heart rhythm that their watch was showing which states it is  myocardial infarction and should call 911.  Mind you if you are in this cardiac state you are near dead and need your heart shocked.   Samsung needs to consult a health professional for the proper image to show as the watch is detecting your heartrate.  It is not right  to display this abnormal cardiac heart rhythm and misleading to the public.

2)  the active 2 does not last a 12 shift. ( 15hr day drive to from walk battery is dead at about 8-10 hrs.)   Does the new classic 4 have a longer battery life?

Wearables

Hi nurse_julie,
When you activate the auto heart rate tracking feature, or when the Galaxy Watch4 series recognizes your exercise, the Galaxy Watch4 series will automatically track your heart rate. When measuring your heart rate, wear the Galaxy Watch4 series snugly on your arm above your wrist. If you fasten the Galaxy Watch4 series too tightly, skin irritation may occur and if you fasten it too loosely, friction may occur.
If heart rate measurement is not working properly, adjust the position of the device's optical heart rate sensor to the right, left, up or down on your wrist, or wear the device on your inner arm so that the sensor is in contact with your skin.

To get the best health measurements to wear your watch about one finger's width above your wrist joint, not too tight or loose. Make sure it fits so that the back of the watch stays connected to your skin without moving around

Use the HR feature only for measuring your heart rate. The accuracy of the optical heart rate sensor may be diminished depending on measurement conditions and surroundings.

Cold ambient temperatures may affect your measurement; during winter or cold weather, keep yourself warm when checking your heart rate.

Smoking or consuming alcohol before taking measurements may cause your heart rate to be different from your normal heart rate.

Do not move, talk, yawn, or breathe deeply while taking heart rate measurements. Doing so may cause your heart rate to be recorded inaccurately.

If your heart rate is extremely high or low, measurements may be inaccurate.

If measuring children's heart rates, the measurement may not accurate.

The signal may be affected by your skin brightness, blood flow under your skin, and the cleanliness of the sensor area.

For accurate measurements, use the Ridge sport band. The Ridge sport band may be sold separately depending on the model.

Battery capacity for active 4 is L: 361 mAh, S: 247 mAh and for active 2 is L: 340 mAh, S: 247 mAh. However, active 4 supports fast charging compared to active 2.
