WearablesHi DormantKaos,
We are sorry to hear this issue from you. Here are some possible reasons and steps to troubleshoot:
Check App Permissions: Ensure Samsung Health has full permissions for location and physical activity tracking.
Optimize Battery Settings: Exclude Samsung Health from battery optimization settings to ensure it runs without restrictions. Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits and ensure Samsung Health isn't restricted.
Recalibrate Motion Sensors: Reboot your phone or run diagnostics via Samsung Members to check for any issues with motion sensors.
Test with Other Devices: If you have a wearable like a Galaxy Watch, compare its step count with Samsung Health to identify discrepancies.
Reset and Sync: Clear the cache of Samsung Health or uninstall and reinstall the app to reset potential issues.
Thank you.

WearablesHi DormantKaos,
Thanks for the clarification! With a new phone, there might be subtle syncing differences. If the watch’s data isn’t syncing correctly or fully with the Samsung Health app, it might appear as though fewer steps are being recorded.
The steps tracking feature might have been indirectly impacted by tweaks you made to resolve the battery drain issue, such as limiting background activities or turning off certain settings.
Restart the watch and ensure all motion sensors are functioning correctly by running diagnostics via the Samsung Members app. This can reset the sensors to normal operation.
Run a Diagnostic Test: Using the Samsung Members app on your phone: Open the Samsung Members app. Go to Support > Diagnostics. Select Connected Devices to choose your Galaxy Watch. Run a test on the motion sensors to ensure they are functioning properly. The app will guide you through any recalibration steps if necessary.
On your S24 Ultra, ensure Samsung Health > Settings > Sync with Watch is set to always sync data between the phone and watch.
If you suspect sensor issues are caused by software glitches, resetting the watch might help:
Backup Your Data: Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Go to Watch Settings > Accounts and Backup > Backup Data.
Factory Reset the Watch: On the watch, go to Settings > General > Reset > Factory Reset. After resetting, restore your data from the backup.
Thank you.

WearablesThere seem to be no glitches, and no other issues other than fewer steps recorded. I was just curious if anyone else has noticed the same thing, maybe before the update the sensors were more sensitive and recording more steps than I actually took? Maybe it's less sensitive and not recording all my steps, or maybe it really is just me and I've somehow slowed down and been less active.
