Has anyone had any problems with Galaxy Watch connecting to WiFi when in standalone mode? Mine doesn't seem to do that even tho I have all my settings set for wifi passwords to transfer.

Any help would be appreciated

Yes, there are 3 options on Watch. Auto, Always On and Always Off. So manually set Always On, WiFi will connect to WiFi network even bluetooth is enabled. If you choose Auto, WiFi will turn off when bluetooth is enabled. I've attached a screenshot when WiFi set to Auto.

Sorry VSN, I missed your word "Standalone". When bluetooth connection broke, WiFi will kick-in automactically when you set WiFi to Auto on your watch. If all settings are correct, try reboot your router. Somehow reboot router fix a lot of network issues.

But my question is, if you set WiFi to Auto and you walk away from your phone, does your bluetooth still connect? If it is, you cannot connect WiFi. My bluetooth still connect to my watch from basement up to my bedroom (3 levels).

@Tallman, when I walk far away from my phone it would disconnect and WiFi is set to Auto, it still doesn't connect. This happened when I was home, and now I'm at my parents house and it does the same thing. Not sure how to reset their router tho, their system is a bit complex. lol

I see what you mean. What about when your bluetooth disconnected, then click Connections - WiFi - WiFi networks. Is it just scanning...or other errors or grey out not able to click?

If I turn off bluetooth nothing happens even tho wifi is set to auto. I turned on wifi last night downstairs when I was out of range of my phone and it connected, but had to do it myself.

Can you check tonight when you turn off bluetooth, the Wifi Networks is scanning, grey out or shows all the networks? Of course do not connect manually. Also, I bet you have no DND, theatre or night mode turned on eh!

@VSN, if you click on WiFi network, do you see your SSID?
