Since the most recent update of the Wear app, my left earbud on my Galaxy Pro earbuds has stopped working. The earbuds worked perfectly up until an hour before the update. Then, after the update, the earbuds keep telling me via the app that the left earbud is constantly at 0% charge, while the right one is at 100%. And no sound now comes from the left earbud.

I assume you are using Bluetooth. Try unpairing and then pairing with another device. If it is working unpair and then pair again with your Pro. Before doing this restart your Pro. If it pairs with another device and the left earbud doesn 't work then it is psrobably a problem with the earbud. If you want to test your phone further buy a cheap headset from Officeworks, JB Hi-Fi or the web, around $15 and postage and test with that.

Thanks, Troubadour. Yes, I also have a cheap older Bluetooth headset that works fine when I switch to that. I have also tried unpairing the Galaxy buds several times, as well as resetting the Galaxy buds back to factory reset through the Wear app. All to no avail. I have also looked online to various forums where it appears that the left earbud-no-longer-working is quite a widespread issue. (https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxybuds/comments/if7ajj/ultimate_fix_to_galaxy_buds_leftright_dead_bud/) and https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/wearables/left-earbud-not-working/td-p/1618264. Sadly, none of these fixes worked, either. It pains me that I spent over $300 on these Galaxy earbuds that were promised to be cutting-edge, best-on-the-market! And that was just last April. If there's no fix, my $300 earbuds, that I've never even dropped, and with which I've been so very careful, are now functionally useless. I really do therefore hope that there's a solution somewhere out there. Do you, Troubadour, or any other wise soul in the Samsung universe have any suggestions that might help?

No further suggestions. I have had less than stellar life with earbuds which are much cheaper but also developed problems too quickly and failed. I believe mine are mainly due to hardware problems rather than short battery life.

Thanks, Troubadour. I guess I just hoped that a more expensive well-credentiallef pair, with presumably therefore better and more robust engineering, would have lasted more than a year. 😔

How long did yours last? I got mine in April last year (over $300), so my money was wasted within a year. Have you taken yours to a Samsung store to see if they could fix it?

Hi @PaulEvans, thanks for reaching out. To clarify, does it say that both the left and right ear bud are connected via the Galaxy Wearable app?

This is to understand whether it's not connecting to the phone or not producing sound.

Hi, thanks so much for responding to this, Laura. On the Wear app, it shows the right earbud at 100% and the left earbud just appears shaded out without even a colouring, let alone a percentage figure. The chargeable case icon also shows 100% but it seems to drain as it seems to try to charge the non-registering left bud. Additionally, when I put the buds in my ears, I hear the heartwarming ding of approval from the right ear bud but nothing from the left. And then, when I try to play 'Hey Jude' or 'Penny Lane', Paul McCartney's dulcet tones emit beautifully from the right, but the left is silence! Please help! I need my Beatles in stereo!
