I have a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and about a week ago I had a nasty bug where when the watch left the charger, it would automatically shut down in a short period of time (30 seconds - 2 minutes) and couldn't start up again, and would only start up after placing it back in the charger. I have tried many ways to solve the issue but it didn't work, including entering recovery mode, resetting the watch, etc.

I hope someone can tell me how to solve this problem.

Best Regards.

Hi @CapSnake, that's strange.

As you've already mentioned trying a reset, it may  an issue with your device's battery or hardware.

To send an error report for a wearable, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Galaxy Wearables app > click on the device desired on the side menu
  2. In the side menu, tap Contact us > Error reports (in the Get help section)
  3. Fill in details and the frequency of the issue that you have with the wearable.
  4. Click send.

Alternatively, I also suggest to head into your nearest authorised service centre with your proof of purchase so that we can take a closer look into this. Please be aware that due to our Privacy Policy, your device may be factory reset before being assessed. I highly recommend backing up your device via Smart Switch, OneDrive and/or Google to ensure none of your data is lost.

Hey Laura,

Thansk for your reply.

I purchased this watch on ebay 3 years ago, so I'm not sure how to get a proof of the purchase of this watch (or is it out of warranty?)

BTW, I would like to ask how long it takes to get the watch back after sending it in for repair?

Best Regards.

Hi @CapSnake, thanks for the additional info. Three years would be out of warranty meaning repairs would likely come at a cost. If purchased 2nd hand on eBay, you would have to contact the seller via eBay to see if they still had an invoice to provide you.

As for repair turnaround time, this would vary depending on the repairs required and parts available. For Australian models, the expected turnaround time is 48 hours and is subject to change depending on availability of parts. In some cases, devices purchased over eBay may not be 'Australian models', thus we would need to import parts from the country of origin which may extend repair times for up to a few weeks.

Hope this clarifies things!

Hey Laura,

Thanks for your reply.

Maybe it's time for me to give up this watch, these three years have not been a particularly good experience for me.

Best Regards.
