Samsung Pay (NFC) for the Galaxy 4 & 4 Classic does not work properly!

Searched on google for the above mentioned issue, no answers. Did the same in Samsung Members, only one post came up.. no solution, but a Samsung service rep advised to approach Samsung service centre or chat with a tech online.

Anyways the issues observed is that when tapping in/out of the MRT or Bus, even when paying for stuff. So basically the NFC readers have a hard time detecting my watch which is set to the Samsung pay app which I just need to tap or hover onto the reader..

I have rebooted, hard reset and even deleted and re-added my cards into my Samsung Pay app.. still met with the same issues..

Anyone else facing the same issue? Or if it is a global issue, please please please Samsung, fix it soon.. my watch is less than a month old out of the box and It's just another accessory on my wrist...

Had the same issue but i figured it out somehow. The NFC emitter on the Watch 4 is located at the 12 o'clock position of the watch. Position the watch in such a way that the 12 o'clock position of the watch is the closest to the NFC reader when you're making payment. Hope it helps

Yeah, i went to extent of looking at photo manuals which showed the exact location of the NFC antenna. Still doesn't work sadly 😕
