Screen Time Out

The usual screen time out on my active 2 is at mere 5sec even though I have set it to 1 mins or 5mins , how do I encounter that?

do you mean 5 seconds when the phone is still locked? that's normal

I have set my screen time out at 1mins but it automatically dim out at 5 sec most of the time.

check again and make sure you save your changes. If that doesn't work, send an error report and see if Samsung can help
