It's a good news of that the new feature of Sleep Apnea Detection could supported on Galaxy Warch 6 in middle of 2024 with SW updates.

Unfortunately the feature will be supported in the US but not sure in Canada. Let's double cross our fingers.

The way I see it is everyone is guilty of having sleep apnea until you prove you don't. Honestly I would rather be dead than wear that contraption when I sleep

I used to feel that way as well until my wife starting sleeping in out guest room, and the blood o2 on my Samsung watch was hitting 70% every night.

Then I started learning more:
- average age is only 65 for those with untreated apnea
- very much higher risks of heart attack, stroke, and type 2 diabetes
- hormone imbalances causing weight gain etc

It's way more than just needing a nap in the afternoon.

The newer machines are very quiet, and most don't need to wear a face mask. Just a thing that goes under your nose.

Im sure the new approved test on the Samsung watch will help, but Canada is typically the last to approve these things.

To all our there, if you have a watch and your blood o2 is dipping below 90 during sleep, you should likely speak with your doctor.
