I bet that every time you look at it, your eyesight is catching the entire body of the watch, then is trying to eliminate those round corners focusing to the round display, which is the actual watch. The process is very quick. It is bothering for some people, others don't even realize what is going on actually. Being an object you look at quite often in a daily basis, is one of the worst designs ever in watches.
