Unlike Samsung’s previous smartwatches that feature an aluminum or stainless steel casing, the latest Galaxy Watch 3 offers only one choice of materials, namely stainless steel. However, we’ve known for a while now that Samsung is also working on a Galaxy Watch 3 variant made of titanium. We exclusively confirmed its existence back in June and after Samsung had teased it briefly at Galaxy Unpacked 2020, the company has now quietly introduced the titanium Galaxy Watch 3 in Europe.

More specifically, Samsung Germany just took the wraps off the so-called Galaxy Watch 3 Titan earlier today and revealed the product’s release date and price. The titanium Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in Germany from Samsung’s online shop beginning September 18. The wearable is launching in only one color option, Mystic Black, and prospective buyers are looking at a 633 euro price tag.

Judging by the specs revealed through the recent announcement, the titanium Galaxy Watch 3 is based on the 45mm model and there’s no indication of a 41mm titanium variant being planned for release. Spec-wise the titanium model is identical to the standard one but it’s attached to a wrist band made of stainless steel as opposed to leather. As a quick reminder, you can use a variety of wrist bands with the standard Galaxy Watch 3.

Samsung hasn’t revealed any details regarding the titanium model’s ruggedness but it should technically be more resilient than the stainless steel variant. However, according to the text engraved on the back of the watch, it’s MIL-STD-810G-compliant, it has an IP68 rating, and features Gorilla Glass DX, same as the standard variant.
