WearablesWell I have had this watch from release and there is one issue for the 4G versions I just do not get, that is TEXT MESSAGES. Why can't you send and receive text messages from the Watch when NOT connected to a Phone by Bluetooth. This watch is an LTE service, you can make and receive calls without any connection to Wear Phone, even when phone is fully off.
But NO you can't make sms text when Wear Phone is off.
Surely a code rewrite of this Watch firmware during a feature update could rectify, but I won't hold my breath.

WearablesHi @ASH8, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please send this through as an error report for this to be investigated by our research and development team.
To send an error report for a wearable, follow these steps:
- Go to Galaxy Wearables app > click on the device desired on the side menu
- In the side menu, tap Contact us > Error reports (in the Get help section)
- Fill in details and the frequency of the issue that you have with the wearable.
- Click send.

Ok, Have found out more about using Text Messages with 4G WATCH4.
YES you can send and receive SMS Text Messages without being in BT range .
What you first must do with Wear Phone is first make sure Watch4 LTE (4G) is Bluetooth connected with both devices. You then do not touch the BT connection.
So you can leave the Phone at home and just use your watch when mobile, yes once Watch is out of BT range it will obviously disconnect pairing with Phone and Watch.
Do not worry about this as the Watch4 LTE will still receive SMS Text and you can still compose and send text messages from Watch wherever you are. Naturally Watch4 must still be within network 4G Towers like any other mobile service.
I know this is not ground breaking news for many, but this being my first smartwatch, I would have thought that this feature was known more easily.
Edit: I did not try remote use of SMS Text Messages with the Phone turned fully off, only Phone turned on and BT connected to Watch., and yes Phone was left at home and was over 2 km from Watch while checking Text Messages as active send and receive.

Another issue
GALAXY WATCH 4 CLASSIC ....Reset.
Hello,
I own 2 of these devices (black, silver) and the exact same issue happened to both.
Yesterday I booted up Silver GW4C , I thought all was well until I opened the WearApp on my paired Phone S20Ultra5g...I looked at watch face and a screen warning to RESET the Watch!...why?.. So I had to do the full reset as the Watch would not do anything, only the screen warning to Reset Watch.
Today the exact same issue happened to my other GW4C (Black), I had to do a full reset of the Watch...what a pain.
So, I am wondering why?.. only thing I did was to install the new Google Assistant App which Samsung approved.
So what or why did this happen. 🤔.
