Watch 5 needs to be unlocked twice after wearing

Hello,

 

This is not the first time I am posting about this, but this problem has become acute (again.)

 

My Galaxy Watch 5 BT 44mm running OneUI 5 (and fully-updated), does the following:

 

1. If I enter the PIN as soon as I put it on, within a few minutes, it will re-lock itself and require me to enter the PIN again.

 

2. If I wear it then wait a few minutes to enter the PIN, then once is enough.

 

The problem with #2 is that if any notifications, etc, come in before I unlock it, I will not be able to see them in detail and will have to unlock the watch at that time anyway.

 

Is this happening to anyone else?

 

The only apps I have installed beyond stock apps are:

1. Google Wallet

2. Google Messages

3. Stocard (loyalty card app)

4. Facer (Watch Faces)

5. Google Assistant

 

The watch is paired with my S23 Ultra.

 

When I first upgraded my watch software to OneUI 5, this problem disappeared.  Then slowly it started coming back, and it became a lot worse when I enabled Touch Sensitivity.

 

Any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated!

Interesting symptoms! I am wearing watch 6 and connected to my s23u, I don't have the exact symptoms as you are experiencing, but I am experiencing a weird situation as well such as I am asked to input PIN couple or few times a day although I am wearing it all the times.
I remember the situation started after being updated to one UI 5 last year in November. 1708549125492.jpg

Are you using native watch faces or an app, like Facer?

I am using native faces with my personal optimization, and using s23u's emoji created a 3D animation watch face as well.1708551986123.jpg

I just changed my watchface to a built-in face and disabled some settings. Let's see if it makes a difference.

The build-in/native faces look good on power consumption. Honestly, I very much like the 3D animation watch face which is played by using AI algorithms on watch. It's pretty cool and funny. I would suggest you create one. It's simple and easily created on your s23u by using emoji from the camera app.
And the 3D animation face doesn't consume more power neither. I wear my watch from my woke up till I went to bed after 11:30 pm, still have a lot of power left everyday.1708557307666.jpg1708557974627.jpg

You only need the pin because of the wallet yes? Maybe uninstall that for a few days.

Paying with my watch is 75% of what I use it for, so even if disabling that worked, it would be a pointless exercise 🤷🏻

Sounds like a massive eageration, regardless, uninstall and reinstall the wallet app might fix your issue. Followed by resetting the watch if that doesn't work.

Actually, I have had this problem for over a year, spanning at least 4 complete resets, so I doubt that will change the result. Thanks for your input, though!
