A very misleading and confusion of this watch that only can go swimming pool under water 30min and a must to get out of the water and rinse with clean water and dry it. Bought watch on May 2024 and due to mention from service centre after evaluation corrosion issue warranty is not covered.

Would a person go for a swim for just 30mins and get of water and make the necessary maintainance by rinsing with clean water and dry it?

From the handbook of the watch it did mention that is able to go into swimming pool and sea.

From service centre and 2 customer service officer mention swimming pool is not covered! But after I go through handbook then admit that swimming pool cover but due to long time duration in the swimming pool that causes corrosion. As all the while I'm on a baby pool with my 5 year kid and just with some splashing water Not Evening Swimming At All! Handbook did mention after a swim need to do a clean up rinse with clean water and dry it but I didn't even have the chance to do it and the watch went blackout! What a disappointment i have been with samsung devices for a long period of time.

Having a watch that only under water with 30mins! This is only consider water resistant and not advisable to go for a swim where thr handbook stated CAN GO FOR SWIMMING POOL AND SEA! Ended up after waiting for days and warranty is still not valid!

i only have fit3, but i never have any guts to bring it to any water environment, i try my best to keep it always dry

i never trust water resistant either ip67 or ip68, so my best option always avoid my electronics far from water

i have read watch 6 classic user manual yes it mentioned you can bring it to swim at the pool, but i choose to not to do it, sometimes we don't have to do some thing that mentioned in any electronics user manual, especially if it related to water

The Watch6 is a ***.

My watch is just less than 9 months, and it stopped working. 

Sent it to the service centre, came back with the report that the motherboard is corroded by water. 

For the matter, I don't wear it to swim, water sports or bathe with it. The claim for this watch: quote "The Galaxy Watch is rated 5ATM water and dust resistant, which means it can withstand the pool, the rain, or a post-workout shower.25 Jul 2024".

Quote: "Saltwater caution:
While you can use it in saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water afterwards to prevent corrosion. "

Samsung, you are not honouring your claims, and not meeting the specified requirements.

Yet, you are telling me my watch is not under the warranty for the corroded condition?

Repair cost quoted is $500 plus.

Truly a *** product. 

My advice: Don't buy this.
