I have been trying to use the auto hotspot to connect my Samsung tablet to my Samsung phones data. Both devices are logged in to the same account and my tablet is picking up my phones hotspot in the Wi-Fi settings under the Auto Hotspot tab; however, it is not connecting automatically.
I have to manually select my phones hotspot from my tablet, which then brings up a message prompt on my phone "Mobile Hotspot will be enabled. This will increase battery consumption ad data usage", which I then have to select okay.
I though the purpose of auto hotspot was for my linked devices to automatically connect to my phones data without me having to manually connect them. Am I doing something wrong?
