Face Tag in Gallery not working

I just upgraded my phone from. a S20+ to a S23 Ultra and transferred my pictures from my old phone. Since the transfer, the gallery app doesn't recognize the faces from the transferred pictures. 

Does anyone know what the issue is? and how to fix it?

It has to re-catogorize the faces. The face catalog is stores in the phone, not on the cloud, so it has to redo the process, which may take several days

it's been 2 weeks and has yet to recognize 1 face

Hi, please Go to System Applications within the Apps setting and look for CMH provider, then perform Clear data and Clear cache.

still isn't identifying persons on the transferred pictures from my s20 +

I have the same problem. Do you know the solution?

I talked to them directly but nothing worked.. they told me to wait as the system needs to reanalyse the pictures and it could take some time.. Hasn't worked since..
