Dumb noob Question...folding the Z fold

Just got the new Z fold 5 and tentatively tried to fold it. It is fairly stiff and i didn't want to risk breaking it. Is there anything I should be wary of or just go for it?

Just go for it.
But, I recommend not using your finger/thumb in the crease to close it.

I'm not sure why people do it, and I wonder if that is part of the problem some have had.

I never press on the screen at all to close it, I only press on the edges of the phone.

Same, but I've seen people using a finger or thumb near/in the crease
