I have the samsung s22 ultra and with the device care app I can optimize my phone easily. There is an option that seems to be an antivirus/malware protection. What I want to know is does it cost extra or is it included in my device care exta warranty I pay for on my bill every month?
If you found the option to turn this on under device protection it is included in the price of your device when you bought it and has nothing to do with device care extra warranty.
I have never bothered with any "antivirus" software on any Samsung device for more than a decade, and never, ever had any issues with any viruses or malware.
Android is not a Windows machine, and doesn't have the vulnerabilities that Windows has.
Really, the biggest proponent of viruses on Android, are the companies who make "antivirus" software.
Google Play store scans your apps with Play Protect anyway, and Google's monthly Security Patch Updates are all you need anyway.
Samsung's included "antivirus software", is just something that I think is unnecessary, and wastes the resources on your device.
